How many of you can say that they have met and designed a classic residence for a top-notch politician? I can *smug face*. Well, it is definitely uncommon to roll up to the palace of a reputed politician and have an almost-normal and meaningful conversation about life and lifestyle. We had one where we talked about life in general but especially her needs for an impressive and practical home that will also suffice for entertainment and official meetings. 

How do you design for someone who is as esteemed as our client and be certain that the place embodies her grace and demeanor? We chose a classic interior design for this house – traditional trim & moldings, intricate paneling, strong colonnade, and a neutral color palette with accents of color. Classic interior design has a sense of grace and beauty to it, and a way of appreciating age-old traditions and values.

There was a sense of richness in every space, from the brass moldings to the crystal lamps, from the exuberant furniture to extraordinary artwork. Some rooms were sober and calm while others dramatic and flamboyant, but nothing was subtle or ordinary in any way. The lower level was dedicated to public zones and guest areas, where the upper level was chosen as her private quarters where she could retire and rejuvenate. Her room with feminine touches was impeccably designed to be a sanctuary to return to. Color was introduced through intricate patterns, furniture, and accessories.
